DDCA Removes Rakesh Bansal as Vice President

Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) on Wednesday removed Rakesh Bansal from the post of vice-president. When DDCA learned about his court case, Rakesh Bansal was removed from the post by DDCA. Rakesh is accused of issuing a cheque of Rs 50 lakh to a company which bounced and a police case was registered against him.

DDCA issued a press release saying that the DDCA got information on Wednesday that the court of Metropolitan Magistrate Tushar Gupta has framed charges against DDCA vice-president Rakesh Bansal in a criminal case under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act.

He said, "On confirmation from the official e-court web portal of the Delhi district court, it was revealed that the court of Metropolitan Magistrate Tushar Gupta has framed charges against Rakesh  in the above order (case number 3624/2018, case number 3623/2018 and case number 3622) on September 9, 2019. / 2018). Rakesh is the younger brother of Sneh Bansal, former chairman of DDCA and BCCI vice-president.  Sneh Bansal was accused of financial irregularities.
