Indian Badminton star PV Sindhu has a disappointing year-end. World champion Sindhu has been eliminated from the first round of BWF World Tour Finals 2019. Sindhu was defeated by Akane Yamaguchi of Japan 18-21, 21-18, 21-8. Sindhu has not done anything special in any tournament since winning the World Championship.

On Wednesday, Sindhu was expected to face an easy match against Akane Yamaguchi of Japan in the first match of BWF World Tour Finals. In a match that lasted for about 1 hour and 20 minutes, the Japanese player defeated Sindhu and showed her the way out. Sindhu also proved herself by winning the first game. Although Akane got a tough competition in the first game from Sindhu, but  Akane won the match.

After winning the first set, the Japanese player hit back on Sindhu and reversed the match and won it by 18-21. After this, Sindhu's condition looked worse in the third game. She looked absolutely helpless in front of Akane and could not collect points. In the game, Akane won the match against Sindhu 21-8 in a one-sided victory. There have been 17 matches between the two players so far. Most of the matches have been won by Sindhu. On Wednesday, Akane registered its third consecutive win against the Indian player.
