Bangladesh defeat Australia by 60 runs in the fifth and the final T20I at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka on Monday. The tour of Bangladesh was very embarrassing for the Australia cricket team as the team lost the series by losing three consecutive matches. Batting first, Bangladesh had scored 122 for 8 wickets. In response, the entire team of Australia managed to score just 62 runs.

In the fifth and final T20 match, Bangladesh captain Mahmudullah won the toss and decided to bat first. The hosts could only score 122 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. Opener Mohammad Naeem scored the highest 23 runs while the captain scored 19 runs. Nathan Ellis and Dan Christian took two wickets each.

Shakib's four wicket haul:

Bangladesh's most experienced player Shakib Al Hasan showed a brilliant performance in the last T20. In 3.4 overs, this star spinner took four for just 9 runs. Australia's batting seemed a complete failure and only batsmen captain Matthew Wade (23) and Ben McDermott (17) could reach double digits. The entire team was bundled out for just 62 runs in 13.4 overs.

Australia's humiliating defeat:

Bangladesh defeated Australia for the first time in T20 by winning the first match of the 5-match series. Bangladesh won the first match of the series by 23 runs. Then, won the second match by 5 wickets and defeated Australia by 10 runs in the third match to capture the series. While Australia won the fourth match by 3 wickets, while they lost the last match by 60 runs.

Brief Scores: Bangladesh 122/8 (Naim 23, Mahmudullah 19, Nathan Ellis 2-16); Australia 62 all out (Matthew Wade 22, Ben McDermott 17, Shakib Al Hasan 4-9).
