Bangladesh Beat Australia in 2nd T20 to Lead Series 2-0

Bangladesh defeated Australia in the second T20 match to take a 2-0 lead in the series on Wednesday. Australia team has visited Bangladesh for the first time to play bilateral T20 International series.

Bangladesh defeated Australia in the second T20 match to take a 2-0 lead in the series on Wednesday. Australia team has visited Bangladesh for the first time to play bilateral T20 International series.  In view of the preparations for the ICC T20 World Cup 2021, a five-match T20 International series is being played between Bangladesh and Australia. The first two matches of the series have been played and in both the matches the host Bangladesh team has defeated the Australian team. Bangladesh won the first match by 23 runs, while the second T20 match was also won by Bangladesh by 5 wickets.

Many Australian key players ruled out due to injury:

Before this series, the team of Bangladesh and Australia had faced each other for 4 times in ICC tournament in T20 International cricket. Bangladesh's team suffered defeat all four times, but now the Bangladesh team overshadowed the Kangaroo team. However, Australia currently does not have many key players including its captain Aaron Finch.

Australia scored 121 runs in 20 overs:

After winning the toss, Australia, batting first, scored just 121 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 7 wickets. In response, Bangladesh achieved the target in 18.4 overs for the loss of 5 wickets. Afif Hossain scored an unbeaten 37 off 31 balls for Bangladesh and won the man of the match title. Atif struck five boundaries and a six in his unbeaten 37, which helped Bangladesh chase 122 after it lost 5 wickets on 67 runs in 11.2 overs. At the same time, Mustafizur Rahman got three wickets. Narul Hasan also scored 22 runs. The third match of the series will take place on Friday, 6 August.
