The T20 World Cup champions, Australia, will tour India for a three-match T20 International series. The Aussies have announced their 15-member squad for this series and rested their three-star members.

The Australian team management has kept the T20 World Cup 2022 in mind before they announced this squad. This event is starting from 16 October 2022.

Starc, Marsh, and Stoinis have been rested for three-match T20I series against India – 

Australia's premier pace bowler, Mitchell Starc, and the two pace bowling all-rounders Marcus Stoinis and Mitchell Marsh have been rested for this three-match series against the men in blue, which will be played from Tuesday, 20th September 2022 at Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali.  

David Warner has also been rested for these three encounters. While, Starc, Stoinis, and Marsh have minor injuries, and the management doesn't want to take any risk by playing them, especially when the T20 World Cup 2022 is around the corner. 

Australia Tour of India 2022: Replacements for Starc, Marsh, and Stoinis – 

The Australian cricket board is eager to give many opportunities to the younger players before the ICC mega event Down Under, and that is why they have rested Warner, Starc, Stonis, and Marsh.

These players are regulars and senior players of the shortest format. The Aussies have announced three replacements for this series. 

Nathan Ellis, Sean Abbott, and Daniel Sams will be the replacements for Starc, Stonis, and Marsh for this three-match series against the men in blue.

Marsh and Stoinis were injured during Australia's home One-Day International series against Zimbabwe and New Zealand. While Mitchell Starc has a knee injury.

After this three-match T20 International series against India, the Aussies will also play the shortest format series against England and West Indies.

Warner, Starc, Marsh, and Stoinis will return for that home series which will be part of the T20 World Cup 2022 preparations.

Australia is the defending champions of this tournament and they have a chance of creating a history this time around.
