Australia Announces 23-Man Squad for West Indies Tour

Cricket Australia on Monday announced a 23-man squad for the limited-overs series against West Indies, scheduled to be held in July.

Cricket Australia on Monday announced a 23-man squad for the limited-overs series against West Indies, scheduled to be held in July. The team will play a series of 5 T20 and 3 ODIs. Keeping in mind the preparations for  World Cup, eight players including David Warner and Steve Smith, who did not play the T20 series on the New Zealand tour this year, have been included in the squad. Apart from Smith, the team includes Pat Cummins, Mitchell Marsh, Josh Hazlewood, Moises Henriques, wicketkeeper-batsman Alex Carey and leg-spinner Mitchell Swepson.

Labuschagne and Cameron Green not included in Team:

At the same time, Marnus Labuschagne and Cameron Green have not been included in the squad for the limited-overs series against West Indies. Green has withdrawn his name keeping in mind the upcoming series, while Labuschagne is currently playing county cricket in England.

T20 and ODIs to take place in St. Lucia and Barbados:

Australia will be played T20 and ODI series against West Indies in St. Lucia and Barbados. All five matches of the T20 series will take place in St. Lucia. The first T20 match will be played on 9 July, while other matches will take place on 10, 12, 14 and 16 July. After that, a series of three ODIs will be played in Barbados. The first ODI will take place on 20, second 22 and third on 24 July.
