Lately, the singer Sona Mohapatra took on Twitter to speak for Priyanka Chopra as Salman Khan commented in his recent interviews about Priyanka leaving the biggest movie of her career and her choice to marry requires a lot of courage as many women would instead leave their husband for such an opportunity.
Sona replied to this by tweeting that, "Cus @priyankachopra has better things to do in life, real men to hang out with & more importantly, girls to inspire with her journey." She went on to say that Salman is an epitome of toxic masculinity and again tweeted that, "A showcase & poster child of toxic masculinity. Low brow digs at not only a woman who was not in the room but a disgusting disregard & contempt for the woman & colleague sitting next to him in the same room. Unless we call out such serial bad behavior, nothing changes, #India ."
Post these comments, the singer was trolled on twitter and received death threats from the male actors' avid fans. Sona took on twitter again to post the threats she had received, on which she allegedly writes "Such & such emails come my way regularly, from the followers of this 'hero' of bad behavior. This beacon of 'human' values who inspires such serial toxic behavior is actually claiming the title of # Bharat, drawing parallels with our great nation, nothing lesser. @NCWIndia."
The picture posted by the singer clearly shows the text written to her, which claims that "…about Salman Khan from bloody f***king mouth, I will get into your house and kill you. Its the 1st and final warning you s**t."
