Kolkata: Arjun wanted to study, but there were so many household responsibilities on his head that he used to spend all the time in fulfilling them, leaving with no time to study. But they say, where there is a will, there is a way. Arjun decided not to give up and he searched for a better solution. Arjun, who lives in Diamond Harbor, adjacent to Kolkata, started studying in a train, and made the train his 'study room'.
Arjun studies during the daily journey from Kakdwip to Sealdah. Recently a picture of Arjun has gone viral on social media, after which many people have extended a helping hand for his education. Arjun, who belongs to a very poor family, lives in a small house in Diamond Harbor with his mother and younger sister. To maintain the family, Arjun sells bananas with his mother.
After a day's hard work, Arjun rides a local train from Kakdwip to Sealdah at eight o'clock every night and returns to Sealdah by buying bananas from Sealdah till dawn. These bananas are sold in the market every day and the income earned is from this. Due to the compulsion to work, earlier Arjun could not get time to read and write. In such a situation, Arjun decided to study while traveling on the train and now every night he studies on the train floor.
The special thing is that during Arjun's studies, the people sitting around him and the vendors selling goods in the train do not make any noise there, due to which Arjun is able to study with full concentration. The picture of this attempt of Arjun has been clicked and shared on Facebook, after which many people have offered help. Members of Arjun's gram panchayat went to his house and met his family.
Arjun has been given a house in the Health Care Center on behalf of the panchayat. Local administrative authorities have assured him of all possible help. Arjun says that he wants to study wholeheartedly. He has a dream of going to the INDIAN ARMY and serving the country.
