“A clean India would be the best tribute India could pay to Mahatma Gandhi on his 150 birth anniversary in 2019,” said Shri Narendra Modi as he launched the Swachh Bharat Mission at Rajpath in New Delhi.

"A clean India would be the best tribute India could pay to Mahatma Gandhi on his 150 birth anniversary in 2019," said Shri Narendra Modi as he launched the Swachh Bharat Mission at Rajpath in New Delhi. On 2nd October 2014, Swachh Bharat Mission was launched throughout the length and breadth of the country as a national movement. The campaign aims to achieve the vision of a 'Clean India' by 2nd October 2019.

The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is the most significant cleanliness campaign by the Government of India. Shri Narendra Modi led a cleanliness pledge at India Gate, which about thirty lakh government employees across the country joined. He also flagged off a walkathon at Rajpath and surprised people by joining in not just for a token few steps, but marching with the participants for a long way.

But as of now, people are not focusing on this abiyaan anymore. We can see the animals eating the garbage from the streets. Even we can see in many areas of Jaipur that's animals are eating polythenes also. So as humans we should not throw garbage on the roads or streets. Because cleanliness should be the utmost priority of us. As we all know the pandemic of coronavirus is still in our world, so cleanliness is very important for all of us.

We have seen in many areas of Jaipur that people throw garbage on the roads and animals eat it and get ill. So here I would like to highlight one incident of Vidhyadhar Nagar. One of our reporters was passing through that area and saw some cows eating the polythenes which were lying there on that road. So as humans we should have this much humanity in ourselves that we should not throw garbage on the roadside area. When the government has provided the garbage vans to us then we should put the garbage in that only rather throwing it on the roadside.
