Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Arvind Kejriwal has made a big claim about Punjab Congress chief Navjot Sidhu. He said that Navjot Sidhu wanted to join AAP, however now he will not come. He is happy only in Congress. Kejriwal refused to divulge about the last time he had talks with Sidhu. In response to another question, Kejriwal again said that Sidhu is still ready to leave the Congress. With this statement, Kejriwal has intensified the discussions about Sidhu joining AAP in Punjab. Sidhu has also warned several times to leave the chair of Congress President.

Difficult path for Sidhu in Congress

In the Congress, Sidhu managed to settle first Sunil Jakhar and then Captain Amarinder Singh. However, now their path has become difficult. The government did not make public the drugs report of the Special Task Force (STF) despite the threat of his being put to death. Sidhu is projecting himself as the CM face after 2022, but the current CM Channi is also not shying away from the claim. Sidhu is presenting his 'Punjab model' from the organization to the party manifesto instead of the Congress.

Waiting for AAP's CM face in Punjab

In Punjab, the biggest discussion in terms of AAP is that of the CM face. Kejriwal has already said that the CM face will be from the Sikh community, but he is not revealing the name. There is definitely a discussion in the party about Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann, but Kejriwal is not saying anything openly. He has been saying this since the announcement of the election. However, Kejriwal often does not miss the praise of Sidhu. Last time too, he had accused the Congress of suppressing him while praising the issues raised by Navjot.

Kejriwal said - Jakhar is also preparing to leave Congress

Arvind Kejriwal said that we had got the MLAs surveyed before giving tickets in Punjab. There were two MLAs who were opposed. We cut his ticket. When he came to know, he joined the Congress. Congress MLAs are happy to be included, but their former CM Captain Amarinder Singh left the Congress. Now former President Sunil Jakhar is also preparing to leave Congress.
