Shiv Sena Ready for Mid-Term Elections if Alliance with NCP-Congress Does Not Happen

The deadlock over government formation in Maharashtra continues. On one hand, the NCP-Shiv Sena has not been able to claim the government till date, on the other hand, the BJP has not yet won the majority, after which Nabat reached presidential rule. The Shiv Sena is in a trance due to the stance of the Congress-NCP. Shiv Sena sources are now saying that if the alliance with NCP-Congress is not possible, then Shiv Sena is ready to go to the polls again. Shiv Sena is also ready for mid-term elections.

Two reasons are being given behind this message. First, to assure the Congress-NCP that the Shiv Sena has no other option than them and second, to dismiss the discussion that is expected to go with the BJP again.

Shiv Sena said that BJP is enjoying the difficulties of formation of government of other parties in Maharashtra. The decision of President's rule was taken after Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari's report sent to the Center, in which he said that in spite of all efforts, it is not possible to form a stable government in the state.

Significantly, amid the political deadlock that continued on the 19th day of the announcement of the assembly election results, the Congress-NCP said that they had not yet taken a decision on the proposal to support the Shiv Sena to form the government. Both parties received this proposal from Shiv Sena on Monday and they want to consider it now.
