Shimla: One Person Died after being Hit by a Train, Angry People Blocked the Railway Track

The railway administration is urging the people to vacate the railway line so that the railway system can be smoothened.

One person died after being hit by a train in Tutu on the Kalka Shimla railway track on Sunday morning. One of his legs was amputated after being hit by a train. He was admitted to IGMC Hospital in Shimla for treatment. Where he died due to excessive bleeding.

The deceased used to work as a painter in a Tutu. His age was 43 years. He was a resident of the Sirmaur district. This accident happened on Sunday morning. After which the angry local people stopped the trains in the Tutu itself and raised slogans. Baluganj Police Station and Railway Police reached the spot as soon as the matter was reported.

The railway administration is urging the people to vacate the railway line so that the railway system can be smoothened. On the other hand, Majitha Ward Councillor Diwakar Dev Sharma said that this is the third incident in the last week.

He said that the local people are demanding an ambulance road. For this, NOC has been sought from the Railways so that the road can be taken out for the area. But till now its formality is not being completed.

He said that till the top officials of the railway administration do not come here, the railway line will not be allowed to be restored. Even 1 year ago, the local people stopped the railway line by protesting here demanding an ambulance road. Councillor Diwakar Dev Sharma said that this movement will continue till some concrete assurance is given to him to build an ambulance road.
