Shahrukh Khan Never gave his Team KKR ‘Chak De! India’ Speech

Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan says he never gave his Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) team a 'Chak De! India' speech. Shah Rukh Khan, co-owner of KKR, was referring to his role as Indian women's hockey team coach Kabir Khan in the film. In this film, the team goes on to win the World Cup under his guidance.

However, Shah Rukh plays a very different role as the owner of the IPL team. Recalling the moments when his team won the IPL, Shah Rukh says, "When we won the first match, I was just about to jump from the balcony because of happiness, my daughter caught me. I can't believe it when we won. A lot of people started asking me to sell the team which I never did".

I stayed home that night. I have been a player of a very small level, I have never given my team a 'Chak De! India' speech.
