Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be in Jammu and Kashmir for two days in a row. During this, he will co-chair the meeting with the security officials along with Governor Satyapal Malik. For the first time after assuming the charge of the Union Home Minister, this marginal state is going to move. Knowledgeable sources said that discussing internal security during the meeting would be Shah's top priority. He will not, however, visit the Jammu and Ladakh division of the state.

After meeting with the security officials, Shah will address the BJP Janata Party (BJP) workers and panchayat members separately. He said that he will also meet the Governor of the State, Satyapal Malik and discuss the current security situation with him. Officials from the state's senior officials and central intelligence agencies will also participate in the discussion.

Sources said, during this time Amit Shah will also visit the Amarnath cave temple and worship there. This year, Amarnath Yatra will start from July 1 and run till 15th August. According to information received from the sources, an alert has been issued for the attack like Pulwama on Amarnath yatra. Security has been tightened at Jammu railway station in view of this. At the same time, most soldiers will be seen in this year's journey – in addition to the army and Jammu and Kashmir police personnel, 42,000 paramilitary forces personnel – security of lakhs of pilgrims expected during the 46-day journey starting from 1 July will do.
