Bollywood actress Shabana Azmi is once again seen defending her husband and lyricist Javed Akhtar. Javed had recently hired Congress leader Shashi Tharoor. After which Javed was started trolling fiercely. Replying to the trollers, now Shabana has asked them to chill. On Monday, Sasand Shashi shared a video of himself singing a song 'Ajnabee Haseena' sung by Kishore Kumar on social media. After watching the video, Javed made fun of Shashi's pronunciation of Hindi words.
Reacting to Shashi's video, Shabana tweeted, 'Shashi! It's cute." Then in a follow-up post, she wrote, "Trollers aap sab chill kariye. Shashi Tharoor is a good friend and Javed's comment was just a joke!"
Sharing the video of himself, Shashi wrote in the caption that, "The Parliament Standing Committee on Information Technology had a program for Doordarshan Srinagar. In its culture evening, I was asked to sing. It's absolutely amateur without any rehearsals.
This is not the first time that Shabana has come to Javed's rescue. Last year, when a Twitter user wrote that he was not the winner of the Richard Dawkins Award 2020, he was only nominated. In response, he called it the 'Foolish Claim'.
Shabana was recently seen in the Hotstar historical fiction web series 'The Empire', which is based on the Mughal Empire. The show also stars Kunal Kapoor, Drashti Dhami, Dino Morea, and Rahul Dev. He will be seen in a short film titled 'Sheer Korma', in which Divya Dutta and Swara Bhaskar will be seen with him. It has been screened in many film festivals but is yet to be released in India. The film is directed by Faraz Arif Ansari.
