Actor Paresh Rawal, who has entertained people with his performances in many Bollywood superhit films, has been elected as the new Chairperson of the prestigious Theater Institute ‘National School of Drama’. President Ramnath Kovind appointed him for this post. The special thing is that Paresh Rawal has also studied from this institute.
Let us tell you that Paresh started his Bollywood career in the year 1985 with the film Arjun. However, with the film ‘Naam’ in the year 1986, he managed to establish himself in the industry. Sanjay Dutt played the lead role in this film. After this he worked in hundreds of films in the 80s and 90s and appeared in most of them in Villain’s role.
Did comedy roles in Hera Phera, Malamal Weekly, Hungama and Hulchul
His popular films in this era include films like Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja, Kabzaa, Ram Lakhan, Bazi. However, after that he started experimenting a lot with his characters and he also tried his hand in comedy genre which was liked by the audience. He has also gained a lot of popularity with his comedy avatar in films like Hera Phera, Malamal Weekly, Hungama and Hulchul.

It is worth noting that the National School of Drama is included in the country’s most popular theater institute. NSD is an autonomous organization which comes under the Government of India. It was founded by the Sangeet Natak Academy in 1959 and was made an independent school in the year 1975. Many artists like Naseeruddin Shah, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Irrfan Khan, Piyush Mishra, Anupam Kher, Om Puri, Ashutosh Rana and Tigmanshu Dhulia have studied from NSD.
