Importance of fast

According to religious belief, it is said that worshipping Ganapati on Sankashti removes all kinds of obstacles. In the scriptures, Lord Ganesha is also known as Vighnaharta. They remove all the miseries of their devotees and fulfill their desires. Chandra Darshan is also considered very auspicious in Chaturthi. This fast, which starts at sunrise, ends after lunar darshan.

On the day of Sankashti Chaturthi, first, get up in the morning and take a bath.

Worshipped Lord Ganesha by wearing red clothes.

While performing the puja keep your mouth towards east or north.

Immerse God in a clean posture or post.

Light a sun-lamp in front of the idol or picture of God.

Chant Om Ganeshay Namah or Om Ganpate Namah.

After the puja, the Lord should offer sweetmeats made of laddus or sesame seeds.

In the evening, read the fast story and open your fast by seeing the moon.

Donate after completing your fast.
