BJP MP in Sangli, Maharashtra has given a controversial statement. Sanjay Patil said that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) will not follow him as he is a member of the ruling party. He made this statement at the inauguration of a mall here.
Sanjay Patil said that to show off, we have to take a loan to buy an expensive car worth Rs 40 lakh. If the ED sees how much loan we have taken, then it will be surprised. Patil also said that I am telling the truth. Even if my point comes in the recording, even then I have no problem.
This statement comes at a time when the Maha Vikas Aghadi-led government in Maharashtra has been continuously alleging that the central government is using government agencies against the leaders of the opposition. Harshvardhan Patil, who left the Congress and joined the BJP last month, also gave a controversial statement.
