South Korean Tech Giant Samsung launched its latest fold-able smartphone Galaxy Z Flip's 5G variant in US.Galaxy Z Flip was launched in February and Samsung now has launched a new 5G variant of this phone. Since it is 5G model, company added fast network support and an upgraded processor. Company has launched this smartphone right before Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event which is scheduled on August 5. This new 5G variant of Galaxy Z Flip supports 5G Non-Standalone(NSA), 5G Standalone(SA) network, and Sub6 bands and comes with Snapdragon 865+SoC.
Galaxy Z Flip 5G will be available from 7 August in US. This fold-able smartphone of Samsung will cost $1,449.99 (around Rs.1,08,200) in US, whereas its previous version which was a 4G variant was launched for $1,380 (around Rs. 98,400). This smartphone has only one variant which is 8GB + 256GB of storage. The phone will be available in two colors- Mystic Gray and Mystic Bronze.
Samsung have not made much change in this new smartphone apart from upgrading processor and 5G network support. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip runs on Android 10 and has a 6.7-inch full-HD (1080×2636 pixels, 21.9:9, 425ppi) Dynamic AMOLED Infinity Flex display. Apart from the main display it also has a small display of 1.1-inch Super AMOLED on the outer part. It comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB of inbuilt storage. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is powered by the Snapdragon 865+ octa-core SoC processor.
The Z flip comes with dual Rear camera setup of 12-megapixel wide-angle camera (f/1.8, 1.4-micron pixels, 78-degree FoV) and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera (f/2.2, 1.12-micron pixels, 123-degree FoV, OIS) and the front camera is of 10-megapixel (f/2.4, 1.22-micron pixels, 80-degree FoV).
The connectivity options are 5G NSA/SA, Wi-Fi 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6), USB Type-C, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0 and GPS. Battery of 3,300mAh is provided with fast charging and wireless charging support. The dimensions measure 167.3×73.6×7.2mm when unfolded and phone weighs 183 grams. This smartphone comes with Flex mode UI allowing users to flip open it from various angle.
