Sant Samaj has also come forward to provide citizenship to about 1.5 crore Hindus who are taking shelter all over the country. It was announced at the Sant Sammelan on Sangam Beach on Tuesday. The country's top saints have prepared a special plan to grant citizenship to Hindu refugees, supporting the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).

It was decided in this Sant Samagam that citizenship counters would be opened in monasteries, ashrams and benches for the convenience of Hindu refugees. The saints and their disciples will command the grant of citizenship. VHP acting president Alok Kumar said that for this, a team of saints would be formed in every district, which would look for refugees. The saints and VHP workers involved in the group will go to the refugees' homes. Their papers will be prepared and then their application will be sent to the central government.

They said that the disciples of saints spread all over the country will be engaged in the work of getting citizenship. The saint community will start this process soon. This campaign will be carried out for about two months. There will be a fast campaign especially in those states where the governments have declared that they will not obey this law.

Swami Jeetendranand Saraswati, Secretary of All India Sant Samiti, said that a large number of saints and saints are illiterate, but their disciples are highly educated, so saint-mahatmas should be engaged in the process of getting citizenship to their disciples. These pupils sit with laptops, desktops and apply for refugees. Said that there are nine lakh temples and about 17.5 lakh saints across the country, which will be installed in this work.
