Amid the ongoing political crisis in Rajasthan, Congress leader Hemaram Chaudhary, who is supporting Sachin Pilot, has demanded a change of leadership in Rajasthan. He expressed doubts over Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot's claim of 106 MLAs support being with him. He said, "If they have 106 MLAs, they have a majority. Then why do they need to lock MLAs in a hotel?"
Significantly, on Monday, the Congress has shifted about 100 of its MLAs to a hotel in Delhi to avoid the possibility of joining Sachin Pilot's camp. At the same time, Congress is constantly claiming that there is no threat to the Gehlot government in Rajasthan. On Monday, CM Ashok Gehlot had claimed to have the number in his support, showing the victory sign. Hemaram Chaudhary has claimed to have 30 MLAs in support of Sachin Pilot. But Congress sources believe that there are only 16 MLAs in his support.

Chaudhary warned the Congress that if the leadership is not changed then the party will not be in a position to win even 11 seats. He said, "The Rajasthan assembly elections were contested in 2013 under the leadership of Ashok Gehlot; Congress had got only 21 seats, for the first time in the history of Rajasthan, the Congress had performed so poorly. If we continue with the current leadership , we will not get more than 11 seats, in the next election. We want to warn the central leadership of the party." He said," Change leadership, save Congress ".
