The bench of nine judges of the Supreme Court will now hear the Sabarimala temple case. Chief Justice S.A. Bobde took this decision while hearing the case on Thursday. During the hearing in the Supreme Court, the CJI said that on February 3, a bench of nine judges will hear the case. This bench will decide the schedule of hearing of the case. Apart from this, the Supreme Court will also hear the scope of judicial review on religious faith and women's rights.
The Supreme Court will complete the hearing of the case relating to discrimination against women in various religious places within ten days. It also includes a case of giving entry to women of all ages to the Sabarimala temple. A nine-member constitution bench headed by Chief Justice SA Bobde made it clear on Tuesday that it would consider questions purely related to the legal aspect and complete the hearing within ten days. If someone asks for more time it will not be given.
