S Sreesanth Picked his India XI, Includes Himself in the Squad

Former Indian fast bowler S Sreesanth has picked India's playing XI. On the other hand, MS Dhoni has been included in the team but not as captain. He has chosen a playing XI that can play in all three formats (Test, ODI and T20). Sreesanth has also given himself a place in this team.

The 37-year-old Sreesanth, who has played 27 Tests, 53 ODIs and 10 T20 Internationals for the country, has taken 87, 75, and 7 wickets in his career respectively, but was found guilty in the 2013 spot-fixing case. After this, he was banned for life by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), but with the decision of the Supreme Court, his ban was reduced to 7 years, which expires in September 2020.

Sreesanth picked Rohit Sharma as T20 captain and Kohli as ODI and test captain:

Sreesanth has selected 11 players from the Indian team who can play in all three formats at present. Apart from himself, Sreesanth has also included Suresh Raina, who has been running out of the team for quite some time. At the same time, Sreesanth has chosen Rohit Sharma as the captain of the T20 team and Virat Kohli as ODI and test captain, but he has not made Mahendra Singh Dhoni the captain.

Suresh Raina deserves the highest praise: Sreesanth

He has said, "I strongly believe in a team for all formats. Suresh Raina is the one who deserves the highest praise. With all due respect, Rohit will captain the T20 team and Kohli in all other formats." Sreesanth's team includes Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma as openers, while Virat Kohli at number three and Suresh Raina at number 4.

Sreesanth has picked KL Rahul for number 5, while at number 6 he has replaced Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who is also the wicketkeeper of the team. Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja are the two all-rounders in the team, while Kuldeep Yadav is the only spinner. As a fast bowler, he has chosen Jasprit Bumrah himself.

Sreesanth's India XI:

Opener – Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan

Middle order – Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina and KL Rahul

Wicket-keeper – Mahendra Singh Dhoni

All-rounder – Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja

Bowlers – Kuldeep Yadav, Jaspreet Bumrah and Sreesanth
