The list of who will get the honor on the occasion of the 71st Republic Day of the country has come. This information was given in an order issued on Saturday. According to the information received, a total of 4 Presidential Police Medals (PPMG), 286 gallantry awards were given. In addition, 93 have been awarded the President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service, and 657 for the Police Medal for Meritorious Service.

Jammu and Kashmir Police has been awarded the highest number of gallantry medals with 108 medals followed by CRPF with 76 medals. The order of the Ministry of Home Affairs states that the Union Territory Police has been continuously involved in counter-terrorism operations in the Kashmir Valley, which has also received three top Presidential Police Medals (PPMG), while CRPF has received one Presidential Police Medal ( posthumously).

According to the information received, 19 officers including Lieutenant General Ranbir Singh, Commander of the Northern Army were awarded the Param Vishisht Seva Medal (PVSM).

The Jammu Kashmir Police has been awarded 105 Police Medals (PMG) and three PPMGs for bravery. After this the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has received 75 PMGs. It has received a PPMG (posthumously). CRPF is also deployed in anti-terrorism duty in the Union Territory. Jharkhand Police has been given 33 PMGs. These medals are announced twice a year around Republic Day and Independence Day.
