Dr. TP Lahane, Head of Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), has issued orders for drug trials. DMER has said that Ethics Committees of selected hospitals will have to approve the trial and after this, the state government will take permission from the Drug Controller General of India to ask the companies to supply the medicine.

The state will purchase 3,000 vials and make them available to 18 medical colleges. These can be used in emergency cases only after obtaining approval from the patient's family. Drug will be provided by BDR Pharmaceuticals and Heterio at no cost. In the next stage, this drug will be purchased from Bangladesh Company Beximco for $ 65 per cell.

The task force argued that permissions and clinical trials should not be an obstacle in the way of the supply of this drug.
