Relief to Common People Amid Lock Down, LPG Cylinder Price Goes Down

LPG cylinder prices have come down between lockdowns. According to information given on Indane's website, the price of 14.2 kg non-subsidized cylinder in Delhi has now become Rs 744.

Earlier, this cylinder was priced at Rs 805.50 in Delhi. In this context, non-subsidized cylinder in Delhi has become cheaper by Rs 61.50. Similarly, the price of non-subsidized cylinder has gone up to Rs 774.50 in Kolkata, Rs 714.50 in Mumbai and Rs 761.50 in Chennai, which used to be Rs 839.50, Rs 776.50 and Rs 826 respectively.

This is the second consecutive month when LPG prices have come down. LPG prices were last increased in February. At that time, the price of 14 kg gas cylinder in Delhi, the capital of the country, was increased by 144.50 rupees. Apart from non-subsidy, the price of commercial cylinder (19 kg) has also been reduced by Rs 96. Commercial cylinders will now cost Rs 1285 in Delhi. At the same time, the price of this cylinder in Chennai is Rs 1402. At the same time, the five kg cylinder also decreased to Rs 286.50 after being reduced by Rs 21.50.

These downwards in price have come at a time when there is lockdown in the country and the demand for LPG cylinders has increased in this environment. Actually, panic booking is happening due to fear in lockdown. This is the reason why Indian Oil chairman Sanjeev Singh said recently that there are enough stocks of petrol, diesel and LPG available in the country. He said that there is no fuel crisis in India. There are stocks over the lockdown period, so there is no need to panic.
