The rapid revolution in internet speed has made people's life easier. Testing of 6G has started in countries like China and America. Here, the speed of the Internet has come to 319 terabytes (TB) per second during the testing done in the lab of the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NIICT), Japan. This speed has broken all the records so far.

In a similar test last year, this speed came to 178 terabytes (TB) per second. Let us know that there are 1024GB in 1TB. That is, you can download 57,000 movies in a second. The US space agency NASA also uses an internet speed of 440 gigabytes per second.

Made some changes in the optical fibre cable itself

With the speed of the Internet achieved in a lab in Japan, even the largest files can be downloaded in a pinch. This speed is the highest in the world. You can estimate its speed in such a way that 57,000 movies can be downloaded in a second with this speed.

According to research, this speed can be found by changing some essential things in the existing optical fibre cable itself. It also reduces the cost. Japan's lab has also used optical fibre cables to get this speed.

Designed a transmission 3001 km long

The report of this test, done in Japan's lab, was presented last month at the International Conference on Optical Fiber Communications. It has been told that for this NIICT had prepared a transmission of 3001 km long. However, it has also been said in this report that a lot still needs to be done to make it a reality. To achieve this speed, the researchers used a special metal-made amplifier and a 552 channel comb laser for different wavelengths. The team feels that even higher internet speeds can be achieved.
