Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad has withdrawn his statement on the recession. He tweeted that I am withdrawing my statement. Apart from this, he said that there is a full video of his statement on social media, but his statement is being taken incorrectly. Along with this he wrote that he as a sensitive citizen retracts his statement.
Actually, he made a statement a while back that India is not going through a recession. An example of this was his association with films. He had said that three films were released on October 2 and these films had grossed 130 crores, which is a proof that the Indian economy is healthy.
He also dismissed the National Sample Survey Office's (NSSO) report on unemployment as inaccurate. He said that the unemployment rate in the year 2017 was the highest in the last 45 years. After this he faced a lot of criticism. He was also severely criticized by the Congress leader. He said that sadly, when millions of people in the country are losing jobs, sitting on their money with bank horoscopes, the government is not worried about the public's grief. He cares about the profits of films. The minister comes out of the film world. Do not steal your face from reality.
