On Wednesday, Mumbai's young batsman Sarfaraz Khan's scored triple century against Uttar Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy Elite Group-B match. On this basis, Mumbai achieves three points. The Uttar Pradesh captain declared the first innings at 625 runs for 8 wickets. In response, Mumbai declared the innings by scoring 688 runs for 7 wickets on the fourth day of the match. The match was terminated as soon as Mumbai's innings was declared, as there were not many overs left to advance the match. This was the reason that Mumbai's team got 3 out of 4 points. The journey of the Mumbai team which has won Ranji Trophy more than 40 times has been very bad this season.

After this match, Mumbai has 12 points in five matches and Uttar Pradesh has 14 points in six matches.
