Ram Platform Can Not Be Considered as the Birthplace of Lord Ram: Ayodhya case

The hearing on the 31st day of the Ayodhya case continued in the Supreme Court on Wednesday. The Sunni Waqf Board has now taken a U-turn from its statement. The Sunni Waqf Board said that they do not consider Ram Chabootare the birthplace of Lord Ram.

The board says that it has not yet accepted it. He is simply stating the court order of 1885. The stand of the Sunni Waqf Board is also the same which Rajiv Dhawan has kept from the Muslim side.

Advocate for Muslim parties Rajiv Dhawan said that he believes that Lord Ram was born in Ayodhya, but where he cannot tell. At the same time, Jilani cited a report of 1862 in which the birthplace was described as a separate temple. The report states that Ram Kot is the birthplace of Lord Rama.

Justice Bobde said, "His gazetteer states that Ram Chabutra is the birthplace of Ram and is 40 to 50 feet away from the central dome". Jilani said that this is his belief and not ours.

Justice Bhushan said, "The British divided this place into two parts – the inner and outer cotyards. That is why they started worshiping in the outer cotyard. "Justice Chandrachud said that all the Gazetteers indicate that Lord Rama was born on the Ram platform.
