Rajnath Singh Visited Siachen, the Highest Battlefield

Two days after Defense Minister Rajnath Singh took over, on Monday, visited Siachen, the world's highest battlefield, and negotiated with the jawans deployed there. He emphasized that the government will fulfill its needs on a priority basis. Singh, who arrived in Siachen with Army Chief General Vipin Rawat and General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Northern Command, Singh, on the height of 12,000 feet, saluted the bravery of the soldiers who were protecting the border in the untimely conditions and said that they should protect the country. By writing letters to the parents of these jawans individually, thanking them for sending their sons to the country service. Rajnath Singh paid tribute to the martyrs and said that more than 1,100 jawans had given supreme sacrifice while protecting Siachen Glacier.

Rajnath Singh said, "I am proud of all the soldiers serving in Siachen who do not leave any stone unturned in protecting our motherland. I am also proud of their parents who have served their children in the Armed Forces as a national service I will personally send a thank-you letter. " He said, "The nation will always be indebted to their service and sacrifice." Rajnath Singh said that the government is fully aware of all the campaign-related and administrative requirements for the highest level of functioning at Siachen Glacier. He said, "We fully support efforts to fulfill the needs of our brave Siachen warriors on a priority basis."

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh spoke to the soldiers on the tea and appreciated his determination and commitment to maintain the purity of the national border and ensure the highest protection of the citizens. The Defense Minister later tweeted, "Our soldiers in Siachen are performing their duty with full courage and patience in the adverse conditions and in the remote areas. I salute their zeal and strength." Located in the Karakoram range, Siachen Glacier is the world's highest military zone, where the soldiers have to face extreme cold and strong winds.

Landslides and avalanches are common in glaciers in winter. The temperature here goes down to minus 60 degrees Celsius. Later, Singh reached the headquarters of Chinar Corps at Badamibagh Cantt to take stock of the preparations for dealing with India by creating a hostile situation by Pakistan. Before Singh, Defense Minister Sharad Pawar, George Fernandes, Mulayam Singh Yadav, and Nirmala Sitharaman also visited Siachen.
