Stampede at Khatu Shyam Temple: At around 5 in the morning, a stampede broke out in Khatu Shyam Ji's monthly fair located in Sikar district of Rajasthan.
During this, there was a scream and three women devotees lost their lives. The condition of some people also said to be critical, who were admitted to the local hospital, while some have been shifted to Jaipur.
The death toll could rise further. Top police officers have reached the spot. Not much information is yet available about why and how the stampede happened.
At present, the Khatu Shyam Ji police station has started the investigation of the entire matter.
It is being told that as soon as the entrance of the temple was opened at 5 in the morning, there was a stampede due to increasing pressure of the crowd.
During this, many women and men devotees fell down and did not get a chance to get up.
The crowd was hurriedly controlled and the staff engaged in the security arrangements took the front and referred the injured to the hospital, where three women died.
