Rajasthan government has brought good news for the pharma students of Rajasthan. For the last 9 years, there has been no permanent recruitment in the field of pharma in the state.
But now consent has been given to start 198 new Diploma Pharmacy Colleges in Rajasthan.
Rajasthan University of Health Sciences after completing the necessary process has now given its consent to start 198 new Diploma Pharmacy Colleges.
With the start of these colleges, there will be an increase of 8,880 new seats in the state and the total seats will be 14,640.
With the opening of new pharmacy colleges, pharmacy seats will increase in the state, but after passing out, there is a cloud of doubt about the appointments.
For the last 9 years, there have been no permanent appointments in the field of pharmacy in the state. At the same time, there are 18 thousand free medicine distribution centres in the state, out of which about 13,500 distribution centres do not have pharmacists.
Medicines are being distributed from other personnel here. The government is constantly talking about the regularization of contract workers, but on the other hand, it is engaged in preparing an army of contract workers.
Also, they are being given a very less honorarium. Many contractual workers are on the verge of crossing the pharmacist age limit if they are not recruited.
Staff Selection Board took out recruitment for 1736 posts through written examination in the year 2018, but this too has not been done yet.
In this recruitment, about 22 thousand applications were received by the government. Amidst the pending recruitment of these posts, the state government created 2369 new posts for pharmacists in the last financial year.
442 posts are under process for financial sanction. The backlog posts of the recruitments made in the years 2011, and 2013 are also vacant.
