Rajasthan Election 2023: As the Rajasthan Elections are approaching, both BJP and Congress have geared up for the same. The BJP seems ready with its first list of candidates and might make the candidate list public in a day or two while the Congress Party is still reevaluating its decisions. The Congress is expected to finalize its list around 15th October.
The Congress will tackle the upcoming elections with a new game plan. In an attempt to fight anti-incumbency, Congress might reject its ticket to around three dozen leaders. The party is most likely expected to replace these faces with religious leaders, famous Olympians, or athletes.
According to the sources, the Congress Party might deny tickets to around 60-70 candidates to fight anti-incumbency. The party underwent various surveys to find out the most competent candidates for 2023. All those candidates who aren’t doing well lately are least expected to be provided with a ticket.
CM Ashok Gehlot and Deputy CM Sachin Pilot have also indicated the same. Due to the cut-throat competition in the 2023 elections, the decision-makers are only considering the winnable candidates to be provided with a ticket. The strategists believe that the candidates who haven’t performed well in the last five years should be replaced with new young faces of athletes or religious leaders to ensure maximum wins.
According to the sources, There are a number of speculations regarding the first list of candidates. However, Congress has repeatedly been pushing the dates of announcing its first list. They are expected to finalize and issue its list around 15 October.
The party has received a panel of ticket contenders from almost all the assembly seats, on which State Congress Observer Madhusudan Mistry and Screening Committee Chairman Gaurav Gogai will discuss and send the list to the high command.
After this, a meeting of leaders associated with the organization and the government can be held in Delhi and the final list of candidates will be out.
