The Meteorological Department has forecast that today and tomorrow also there may be heavy rains in the southern parts of the state as well as in the western Rajasthan region. The water train crisis has been averted for now due to the continuous rise in the water level in Jawai Dam. It is being told that till now the water of about three months has arrived. This is low in terms of population, but the water level in the catchment area is also likely to rise after the rains. In Bisalpur also, there is a continuous inflow of water. This has brought some relief to the people of Jaipur, Ajmer, and Tonk districts.

The water level of the Bisalpur dam has started

If we look at the rain situation, Mount Abu, Nimbahera and Bhilwara received about 3 inches of rain during the last 24 hours. Due to heavy rains, the inflow of water in the rainy rivers and streams increased here. Due to good rains in the Bhilwara region, the water level of the Bisalpur dam has started rising rapidly due to water coming in Banas and other tributaries. The gauge of the dam has increased from 310.95 to 311.05 meters (10 cm) during the last 24 hours. At the same time, the main river Triveni, which increases inward for water in the dam, is currently flowing at 3.90 meters. Due to this, 1695 cusecs of water are still coming into the dam.

Apart from this, Chadar has also started running in Bassi in Chittorgarh city and Orai dam of Begun. Similarly, water is being released from Kota barrage, Kalisindh in Jhalawar, and Jakham in Dhariyawad.

There is also some relief news for the Pali district, which is facing the problem of drinking water. The water level of the Jawai dam rose after it rained in Pali town and its adjoining areas. The gauge of the dam reached 16 feet (1019 cusecs) and the Sei Dam gauge reached 2.80 meters (437.34 cusecs) this morning. Jawai Dam is the only source of drinking water supply in Pali, Sojat, and nearby towns.

What will happen next?

According to the Jaipur Meteorological Department, the low-pressure area over East Rajasthan has weakened and turned into a circular system. Under the influence of this system, heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places is expected in the southern parts and light to moderate rain in the remaining parts during the next 48 hours. Apart from this, as per the present situation, light to moderate rain activities will continue over most parts of East Rajasthan during the next week. On the other hand, light to moderate rain may occur in some parts of west Rajasthan.
