Railway Said No One Will Be Fired, Some Job Profile Will Change

Amidst the Corona crisis, news came that the Railways, taking a big decision, had decided to ban the new recruitments. Along with this news also came that the railways will review the posts removed in the last two years and 50 percent of the posts will also be surrendered. For this, a notice was issued by the Railways. As soon as this news came, a kind of fear spread everywhere and it seemed that maybe now the railways will also take people out of jobs like all companies. But now the relief news has come from the railway.

This notice caused panic

Railways said on Friday that neither one was going to lose any job nor there were any plans to reduce recruitment. However, Railways has definitely said that the job profile of railway employees can be changed in the coming times. People have got some relief after this announcement of the railway. This is the notice, after which a fear spread among the railway employees.

Anand S Khati, of DG (HR) Railways, says that no one is going to lose jobs from the Railways, nor are jobs getting reduced. He also said that no security category jobs in train operations and maintenance would be surrendered.

Which posts will be surrendered?

Khati said that vacant posts of non-security will be surrendered, which will help in taking out new projects of railway infrastructure and higher security vacancies. He said recruitment would continue in all categories of posts and Railways would not cut any jobs.

Railways have made it clear that some job profiles will be changed. This will increase the efficiency of the employees, but there will be no deduction. Explain that at present there are 12,18,335 employees in the railway. At present 65% of the railway's revenue is spent on salary and pension payments. Since 2018, Railways has had 72,274 posts in the security category and 68,366 posts in the non-security category.
