Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has reached Jammu on a two-day visit on Thursday. It is being told that he will leave on foot from Katra to visit Shri Mata Vaishno Devi. Along with the visit to Mata Vaishno Devi, he will also be attending the evening aarti, tomorrow i.e. on Friday. Also, Rahul will meet party leaders, former MLAs, workers, former ministers in Jammu.

J&K Congress Committee President Ghulam Ahmed Mir said that Rahul Gandhi has special faith in the holy temple and for the past many years he has wanted to visit the Vaishno Devi temple. For the last three years, we were asking Rahul Gandhi to come to Mata Vaishno Devi. He himself wanted to come, but the political situation was not such that he could come to the Mata Vaishno Devi every year. Now the situation is improving a bit, so they are coming.

Mir said that many leaders go to the holy shrine Mata Vaishno Devi, but they use helicopters or they use horses. At the same time, Rahul Gandhi will walk from Katra to the temple for darshan, perform puja and participate in the aarti. The next day he will come down again on foot to Katra. On the first day of his visit, we have not organized any political program.

Rahul Gandhi also planning to visit Ladakh

The Congress leader told that after a visit to Jammu, Rahul is also planning to go to Ladakh. He said that after the situation improves in the areas, Rahul Gandhi is preparing to visit all the districts. During this, he will interact with the people and bring their problems to the fore.

This is the second visit of Rahul Gandhi to Jammu and Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370. Earlier on August 9, he had visited the Union Territory. During this, in Srinagar, he inaugurated the new party office. He also visited Hazrat Dargah Sharif and Kheer Bhawani Temple. In August 2019, the Center abrogated Article 370, which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir. Also, this area was divided into J&K, and Ladakh.
