On Tuesday, South Africa's ODI team has been announced, to play a 3-match ODI series against England. South African team wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton De Kock has been appointed as new ODI captain for the South African team. Earlier, he also captained his team in the T20 series against India. At the same time, Faf Du Plessis has been dropped from the team.

Quinton De Kock's first test in ODI cricket as captain will be against world champion England. The three-match ODI series between South Africa and England will begin in Cape Town from February 4. Test and T20 team captain Faf Du Plessis has not been included in the 15-man squad.  South Africa cricket team selector Linda Jondi has said, "Excluding Faf Du Plessis does not mean that his ODI career is over. We decided to give rest to Faf and Kagiso Rabada in this series because they both have played plenty of cricket. A separate team will be selected for the T20 series to be played after the ODIs."

27-year-old Quinton De Kock has been named captain of the team. The South Africa Cricket Board has included 5 such young talented players, who have not played an international one-day match yet.  Lutho Sipamla, Sisanda Magala, Bjorn Fortuin, Janneman Malan and Kyle Verreynne included in the team for the ODI series against England.

South Africa's ODI Team:

Quinton de Kock (capt), Reeza Hendricks, Temba Bavuma, Rassie van der Dussen, David Miller, Jon Jon Smuts, Andile Phehlukwayo, Lutho Sipamla, Lungi Ngidi, Tabraiz Shamsi, Sisanda Magala, Bjorn Fortuin, Beuran Hendricks, Janneman Malan, Kyle Verreynne.
