After the blast at the Kabul airport, the US killed the IS Khorasan terrorist responsible for the airstrike. But now a report is claiming that the US made a mistake in identifying the terrorists. There is a possibility of targeting the aid workers instead of targeting the terrorists. The New York Times report claimed that innocent people lost their lives instead of terrorists in the US airstrike. A New York Times video analysis suggests that the United States may have mistakenly targeted its own aid worker, rather than Islamic State-Khorasan Province (ISKP) terrorists, in an August 29 airstrike in Afghanistan.

Airstrike was done 48 hours after the Kabul attack

After the attack, the US claimed to have killed the terrorists responsible for the Islamic State Khorasan by an airstrike. 13 American soldiers were killed in the Kabul attack, while a total of more than 200 people were killed, mostly Afghan civilians. Joe Biden had promised to take revenge on the terrorists only after the Kabul attack and said that wherever he is, America will find him and kill him, and on August 29, he claimed to take revenge on the terrorists by conducting an airstrike.

The Pentagon said it had killed an Islamic State terrorist, the mastermind of the Kabul bombing, in an airstrike. But now questions are being raised on America's action. In the US attack, 10 innocent people were accidentally killed instead of terrorists. According to the news agency AFP, at least 10 civilians, including children, were killed in the US attack.

Aimal Ahmadi, a resident of Kabul, said the car that was targeted in the US airstrike on August 29. The car was driven by his brother Ezmarai Ahmadi, which was carrying his younger daughter, nephew, and niece. They were all killed in US airstrikes. The New York Times, analyzing security camera footage, said the US military may have seen the slain Ahmadi and an aide loading water canisters and carrying a laptop for their boss.

10 civilians killed

Relatives said Ezmarai Ahmadi worked as an electrical engineer for the California-based aid and lobbying group Nutrition and Education International and was himself among thousands of Afghans who applied for resettlement in the United States. Here, US officials had said that there was a big explosion after the drone attack, which shows that the vehicle had explosives. However, a New York Times investigation said no evidence of a second explosion was found. Aimal Ahmadi earlier told AFP that 10 civilians had been killed. The US officials acknowledged the deaths of three civilians and argued that the airstrike prevented militants from carrying out another attack.
