The strife of Punjab Congress is not taking its name to end. Now angry with Harish Rawat's statement, former Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president Sunil Jakhar has left for Delhi. According to the sources, Sunil Jakhar will hold a meeting with Rahul Gandhi in Delhi on Thursday. Priyanka Gandhi may also have been present at the meeting.

Sunil Jakhar leaves for Delhi

After Charanjit Channi became CM, Harish Rawat issued a statement saying Navjot Sidhu would be the face of the party in the upcoming elections. However, former party president Sunil Jakhar had strongly opposed the move. Later, Rawat had said the election would be contested under Channi-Sidhu's leadership. Now on Wednesday evening Sunil Jakhar left for New Delhi. He was accompanied by Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, who had arrived at Chandigarh airport from Shimla to New Delhi.

Former President Rahul Gandhi could talk about convening the Congress, but there is an unsatisfactory part. However, the statement is based on a statement from Harish Rawat's ruling party after Charanjit Singh Channi became the CM in which he said Navjot Singh Sidhu would be the person to run in the 2022 elections.

In this regard, former Congress president Sunil Jakhar said Rawat's statement was shocking. Also, he raised questions about the next Punjab election under the leadership of Navjot Sidhu. Jakhar said Rawat's statement on the day Charanjit Channi was sworn in as prime minister was shocking. This is a statement that undermines the authority of the CM. Meanwhile, the nephew Sunil Jakhar, Ajayveer Jakhar has resigned from the Punjab Farmers Commission.

Congress gave clarification

Because of the growing controversy, the supreme command had to enter into this war. After a statement from state spokesman Randeep Surjewala issued a statement saying he had spoken to Harish Rawat, Rawat told him that the media did not understand his statement. So I repeat that our CM is Charanjit Singh Channi. The President of the Congress of State is Navjot Singh Sidhu. Both these leaders will fight in the Punjab elections along with all other leaders.
