Singh, a defender, was a part of the Paltan in Season 3.
Head mentor Anup Kumar said Surjeet will drive the group to wonder.
"Surjeet is a significant advantage for the group and he will drive the group towards greatness. He has an encounter of driving the group and I have confidence that his initiative capacities will take us far in this season," Kumar was quoted as saying in a media release.
"With the current squad and a leader like Surjeet, I am confident that this season we will put up a stellar show," he said.
Singh said he was lowered by the choice to choose him as the skipper.
"This is my second stint with Puneri Paltan after season 3 and with a comeback, nothing is better than getting an opportunity to lead the team," he said.
"Under Anup Sir's direction, we have been preparing widely to give our best execution for the league and we are generally prepared to set the tangle ablaze," he included.
Singh will lead the Puneri Paltan group including Nitin Tomar, Girish Ernak, Pawan Kumar and Darshan Kadian, among others.
The seventh season of PKL begins in Hyderabad on July 20 and Puneri Paltan will play its first match against Haryana Steelers on July 22.
A new jersey of the team was also launched on the occasion.
