Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has written a letter to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, alleging that both crime and corona have been unbridled in the state. Priyanka has written in a letter to Yogi that, “Recently, through a letter, I tried to draw your attention to the growing criminal incidents in the state. Due to increasing criminal incidents with common people in the day, a sense of fear has been sitting in the minds of the common people of the state. Both crime and coronavirus have become unbridled in the state.”
The general secretary in-charge of Uttar Pradesh wrote in the letter that he has heard people saying that kidnapping has become an industry in Uttar Pradesh and murder is a scam. The state has been shaken by the incidents of robbery and rape. All this indicates only one thing that for some reason or the other, criminals are fearless and the rule of governance has come to an end.
Referring to a recent criminal incident in Sambhal district, he has written to the Chief Minister, “Through an incident again, I want to draw your attention to the poor state of law and order in the state.” Ramautar Sharma, living at Chandausi in Sambhal district, retired from the IFFCO Kisan Seva Kendra and ran a fertilizer shop at village Bicheta intersection. On the evening of July 30, Sharma and his son were shot by the miscreants while going back from the shop and looted their money. Sharma died in the incident and his son narrowly survived. Fury spread throughout the region due to this incident. “

Priyanka Gandhi has demanded in the letter that Sharma’s family be brought to justice by apprehending the culprits at the earliest. Also, the state government should announce financial help for Sharma’s family. In the letter, he has written that there is an atmosphere of fear in Uttar Pradesh due to the increasing incidence of crime. Common people, women, children, businessmen etc. are under the shadow of fear. In the letter, he requested Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to fix law and order and curb criminal incidents.
