Priyanka Gandhi’s Instruction, ‘Congress Commandos’ Should Help UP People while Lock Down
Lockdown has been imposed across the country to deal with the corona virus, due to which the poor-laborers are facing problems of eating and drinking. Steps are being taken by the government for this, but political parties are also extending a hand to help the people in view of their political future. Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi has instructed Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee President Ajay Kumar Lallu to immediately form a response team of party workers, who will work to help the needy people in the state. Priyanka has named this volunteer team as Congress commandos.
Congress state president Ajay Kumar Lallu told in a conversation that on Thursday, Priyanka Gandhi has instructed that no one should stay hungry and thirsty due to the lockdown in the state, for this, a team named Congress commandos has been instructed. All the officers of the PCC will form a joint rapid response team of the district and city through the district and city president of their charge area. A team has been formed in every district. These will help 'Congress commandos' people with the help of local administration. We will also work to get the duty passes of all our volunteers so that they do not face any problem.
The state Congress president said that to help people, some helpline numbers are also being started in each district and city. Apart from this, a helpline number is running at the state level, under which we are working to help people. Our workers are keeping an eye on the reports of someone in trouble in the town, Purva, Tola, slum, Kutchi colony and will work to provide food and water to the people.
Ajay Kumar Lallu said that on the instructions of Priyanka Gandhi, we are making small food packets of 5-5 kg (which contain flour, rice, dal, salt and soap) and start the work to reach the needy. Food packets have been arranged in all the district and city committees of the state, which will be distributed among the people at the local level so that no one could sleep hungry.
A central control center has been set up in the Uttar Pradesh Congress office. Helpline numbers of all the districts of the state will have to be given from where they will give full information through various means. Through this, you will also get information about where things are available or needed. After this, the important things will be transported there.
The state president said that Priyanka Gandhi has said that this is not the time to do politics and impose charges, because there is nothing more precious than the life of the people. In the time of this grave crisis, we have to fully cooperate with the administration, follow the rules, laws and security measures and also get the people to do it. If there is a lack of weakness too, then you have to help them by presenting an example of public participation and service.
