After the Resignation of Rahul Gandhi from the Congress presidency, the demand for the appointment of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in the party has begun. This time demand has been raised by former President Pranab Mukherjee's son and former MP Abhijit Mukherjee. At the same time, Anil Shastri, son of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, also spoke about the matter.

Former MP Abhijit Mukherjee has said that Priyanka Gandhi Vadra should take charge of the party. Because the demands of Congress workers across the country should not be ignored. Mukherjee said that the party is battling the crisis of existence and Priyanka Gandhi should take over the command of the party and change its destiny. They will take the party back on the path of tremendous victory, as did their grandmother and former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
