Prime Minister Narendra Modi has described the completion of 100 crore doses of the Corona vaccine as a big achievement. He also said that as we have a habit of wearing shoes while going out of the house, in the same way, make it a habit to wear masks. In India with a population of more than 139 crores, the work of vaccination was not easy. The government also made its app. It can be used on both Android and iOS platforms. The Covin platform is systematic.

Co-WIN has done the work of this channel very well. The vaccination to fight the Covid-19 epidemic started on January 16, on October 21, 100 crore doses were completed. About 31% of the population has taken both doses. With the help of the Covin platform, the journey of 100 crore doses has been completed easily and faster. What is Covin App and how does it work?

This digital platform has been designed by the National Health Portal (NHP). It was named Co-WIN only to win from the Covid epidemic. In this, Co means Covid and WIN means victory. If you want to register for the vaccination, then you have to go to the Covin platform. You can also install its app, or you can go to selfregistration.cowin.gov.in. If there is a problem in registration with a mobile number, then you can register with an Aadhar card. You can register all family members with a single login.

Vaccine registration process

  • First of all, go to the Covin app or website. Enter your mobile number. OTP will come and log in by entering it.
  • Now choose any one photo ID proof from Aadhar Card, Driving License, PAN Card, Passport, Pension Passbook, NPR Smart Card, Voter ID, Unique Disability ID or Ration Card.
  • Enter the number, name of the ID you have chosen. Then select Gender and DOB.
  • After the member is added, you enter the pin code of your nearest area. The list of vaccination centres will come.
  • Now select the date, time and vaccine of vaccination. Go to the centre and get vaccinated.
  • At the vaccination centre, you will have to provide the reference ID and secret code. Which you get when you register.
  • Similarly, you can register your vaccination by adding other members to your login.

Special Features of the Covin Platform

  • After logging in to the Covin platform, go to International Travel Certificate.
  • Now submit the request by giving your date of birth and passport number details.
  • The link to the certificate will come on your phone, where you will be able to download it.
