The lock down period has been extended to May 3 to prevent the spread of corona virus in the country. Prime Minister Modi on Tuesday announced to extend the lock down till May 3rd in the country's address. However, Prime Minister Modi has also said in his address to the country that the lock down of this time will be shown more rigorously and by 20 April all the states and all the hotspots across the country will be closely examined.

However, Prime Minister Modi has also said in his address to the country that in areas where lock down will be fully observed and there will be control over the corona virus, the lock down may be relaxed after April 20 in those areas, however the relaxation will be with certain conditions.

Prime Minister Modi said that the decision of lockdown seems expensive, if only from the economic point of view, a huge price has to be paid, but there is no comparison to it with the lives of Indians. Prime Minister Modi said that it is very natural to discuss the way India has gone on the road between limited resources. The state governments of the country have also acted very responsibly in the local units.
