There was no change in the prices of petrol and diesel on Sunday. Prior to the last phase of Lok Sabha elections, the oil marketing companies maintained stability in petrol prices. However, the price of crude oil in the international market has increased by two dollars per barrel in the last one week, after which there is a possibility of a further increase in the price of petrol and diesel.

The commodity market analysts say that after the Lok Sabha elections, the price of petrol and diesel may be increased. Polling for 59 parliamentary seats in seven states is going on in the seventh and final phase of the Lok Sabha elections.

In the last trading session last week, the price of oil remained steady at the international market, but Brent crude prices remained above $ 72 a barrel.

According to IndianOil website, on Sunday, the prices of petrol in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai remained unchanged at Rs 71.03, 73.11 rupees, 76.64 rupees and 73.72 rupees per liter respectively. Diesel prices remained unchanged in all four metros at Rs 65.96, Rs 67.71, Rs 69.11 and Rs 69.72 per liter respectively.
