Petrol price in Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai has gone up by 14 paise, while in Chennai the price has increased by 15 paise per liter. According to IndianOil website, on Friday, prices of petrol in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai have gone up to Rs. 71.39, Rs. 73.46, Rs. 77 and Rs. 74.10 respectively. Diesel prices have also gone up by Rs. 66.45, Rs. 68.21, Rs. 69.63 and Rs. 70.24 per liter respectively in four metropolitan cities.
Rise for Second Consecutive Day
The price of petrol and diesel has been steadily rising for the second consecutive day. Earlier, on Thursday, May 23, petrol price was up by 8 paise per liter in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai. While the price of diesel is 9 paise in Delhi and Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai have increased by 10 paise per liter. In two days, petrol in Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai is 22 paise, while in Chennai it is 23 paise per liter. At the same time, diesel prices have increased by 25 paise in Delhi and Kolkata in two days, while in Mumbai and Chennai, it has increased by 27 paise per liter.
