Sanctions may be imposed on Pakistan

It is important to mention here that even after six months of becoming the President, Joe Biden has not spoken to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan. Pakistan Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has expressed concern over a meeting of recently retired generals and diplomats that Pakistan may face US sanctions, a senior US diplomat says.

US diplomats further state that Biden has turned his back on Islamabad as a result of "the most shocking damage to America" in recent history. They say that American soldiers have returned. As such, strategic conscience dictates that the Biden administration hold Pakistan's generals and diplomats accountable for disobedience, and there is unprecedented pressure on the Biden administration to act on Pakistan.

Last week, U.S. authorities besieged Secretary of State Antony Blinken over the current issue. Meanwhile, Blinken agreed with lawmakers that Pakistan's role in Afghanistan is in doubt. However, the United States will review relations. He acknowledged that Pakistan had provided shelter for the Taliban, including Haqqani terrorists. Clearly, this unification of Pakistan contradicts US interests.

Significantly, Pakistan is one of the countries that the US has given it the status of a major non-NATO ally. Pakistan is aware of the dangers of American sanctions. However, this is the reason why Pakistan's National Security Adviser Moeed Yusuf has asked Washington not to think of Pakistan as a 'scapegoat'.

Taliban dominance only with the help of Pakistan

Sher Jan Ahmedzai, who was posted in Afghanistan's presidential office in 2007, says that without the help of Pakistan, the Taliban could not have taken over Afghanistan. Pakistan receives financial assistance from the IMF, United Nations, and other international organizations. It would be a great thing for America to stop this funding. Also, the US should impose sanctions on individuals and other countries that support terrorists and Taliban insurgents.

Pakistan's foreign minister said – make a roadmap for the world to recognize Taliban

Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood has called on the international community alongside the United Nations General Assembly to prepare a plan to welcome the Taliban. Shah said if the Taliban did what they expected, they would be accepted around the world. Similarly, the international community must understand what alternatives are. Shah said that Pakistan is aligning with the world regarding the Taliban so that peace comes in Afghanistan.

PM Imran said – the world should give money to the Taliban

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has tried to blackmail the world on the pretext of the Taliban. He said that the Taliban came to power after 20 years. Also, he needs money to run the country. The US Federal Reserve has frozen an estimated 74 thousand crore rupees of Afghan central bank funds deposited in foreign banks. Also, he said that if the Taliban does not form an inclusive government, a civil war could break out in the country.
