At least 5 names are doing round on social media and national media as probable candidates for Chair of chief minister in largest state of the country.
Vasundhara Raje- having held the mantle of chief minister twice before and with strong grip over the politics of state, ‘Maharani’ is a strong candidate for another tenure as chief minister of Rajasthan. But it is widely believed that she is not at very good terms with central leadership of the party.
Recently allegations against her MP son Dushyant Singh for keeping Newly elected MLA Hemraj Meena captive in a resort has also made circulations.
Baba Balaknath- Balaknath is seen as mirror image of Yogi Adityanath in Rajasthan and was considered cm candidate but he rubbished all the speculations making a social media post.
Diya Kumari- She secured victory from the Vidhyadhar Nagar seat with an impressive lead of 71,368 votes. Former Royal is considered in Race if BJP goes for a fresh woman face in the state.
Cabinet minister Arjun Ram Meghwal and Aswini Vaishnav are also in the race, but it will be interesting to see if these two will relinquish their important ministries and return into the state politics.
BJP has appointed Rajnath Singh, Saroj Pandeya and Vinod Tawde as central observers to discuss with the newly appointed MLAs and decide name of the Chief Minister for the state.
Despite appointment of observers, JP Nadda has called a meeting of all BJP MLAs at 7:50 PM today, which leaves us wondering, if all is well in BJP or something is cooking besides the cloak.
